Lika Canyon- a hidden river gem

The last day is reserved for sailing through the canyon of the river Lika from Kaluđerovac to Lake Kruščica. A hawk follows us high in the sky, and we do not believe that it is possible to feel such blissful peace and quiet in the middle of summer with the sound of rafts and a wonderful landscape of amazing rocks and flowers of intense lilac color like lavender in its strongest bloom.

Luka, our nice guide and helmsman, also allows us to swim in Lake Kruščica.

The water current is strong - we don't need a countercurrent pool! A beautiful bike path has been made around the lake so we have another lure to come again.

On the way back we go to the Vedrine cheese factory for škripavac, yogurt, and the inevitable cream cheese. We will think about diet later. Lika offers too much fine food to strengthen our character right here.

We are all tired, but KIC Lovinac organized a children's show after which the children go to a nearby beautifully landscaped park and the game continues with the stars in the sky. We sit and enjoy the "silence that is heard" as one bunny runs across the road and disappears into the woods. We are a little sad because our stay in Lovinac is slowly coming to an end.
